ChoreoQuest presents: Acts of self preservation

The Billie Holiday Theater’s ChoreoQuest: A choreographers residency program presents an evening illustrating, “Acts Of Self Preservation.”

ChoreoQuest, under the direction of Nathan Trice, is a choreographers residency program created 1991 in response to a dearth in affordable rehearsal space and presentational opportunities in NYC.

Since 1991 ChoreoQuest has supported over 45 choreographers and has maintained the goal to provide African American choreographers the opportunity to create, develop and present new works. In return ChoreoQuest resident choreographers host master classes, workshops, community engagement activities and choreograph on The Billie Holiday’s Youth Arts Academy dancers.
